About 3:30 pm. Winds were now in excess of 130 mph. Because the winds were coming from behind us, we were still able to be on the balcony. Notice the vegetation is beginning to disappear. After the eye of Iniki passed over the island, winds would come from the opposite direction, blowing straight at us. We were forced to hid inside the condo. Our front door blew off, a solar panel came thru our roof. Because our windows were taped, they did not break, but we could see them bending. When the storm was over, all our window frames were bent and the windows were loose.

Whew! It's over. Vegetation stripped. Notice the tall trees from the earlier shot are gone. This shot was taken the next morning.
