It's now time to head into the Wailua Forest, going deep into Kauai's interior to find the magical place Steven Spielberg found to build the massive Jurassic Park Gate.  This part of the tour can get bumpy, so hang on, fasten your seat belt and enjoy the stunning beauty of Kauai's rainforest. We are heading to an area near the base of Mt. Waialeale, the wettest spot on Earth.  After coming down from the gate, IF WE HAVE TIME, we will stop, let you wiggle your toes in the river and continue enjoying the splendor Mother Nature has blessed Kauai with.

Sometimes, the road gets a little gnarly! We will show you a scene from Dragonfly that used this muddy road.

If the water is over the road, yep, we're going to go thru it. We're not chickens!!

Lush beauty at every turn. The farther we go, the closer we get to the wettest spot on Earth, Mt. Waialeale. Almost 450 inches of rainfall a year. As we head there, it may be raining. We have ponchos and umbrellas on board for everybody. Wear shoes that you don't mind getting muddy.

The first of two rivers we'll cross.

This is a very RARE sight, to spot wild boar in the forest. If we are lucky, you can get a shot like this! Once again, this is rare and not spotted very often on this road.

But the whole road isn't bad, just most of it.

You guessed it. Another stream we have to cross. Are we Coast Guard approved? Do we have life preservers? Nope!

Another shot of the incredible Mt. Waialeale Crater on a rainy day. Dozens of waterfalls cascade down! This is the wettest spot on Earth with an average rainfall of 450 inches per year.
