Q-WHAT IS THE FIRST DINOSAUR WE SEE IN JP3?
A-Other than an overview from the plane as they are coming into the island, our first real encounter is with the Spino.
Q-JP WAS SCIENTIFIC. TLW WAS ALL ACTION. WHICH WAY WILL JP3 LEAN, SCIENTIFIC OR ACTION?
A-We will learn new things about our pre-historic friends, but this film is action from beginning to end.
Q-IN THE JP3 PROMO, WE SEE ERIC AND GRANT RUNNING ALONGSIDE AN ELECTRICAL FENCE. IT LOOKS LIKE THE LOCATION USED FOR THE BRACHIOSAURUS SCENE IN JP. HOW COULD YOU NOT HAVE NOTICED THESE HUGE FENCES?
A-The Brachiosaurus scene took place on Isla Nublar. This film does not go there. Those fences in JP3 were most likely built on a sound stage as they were not built on Kauai.
Q-WHAT ARE COOPER'S, NASH'S AND UDESKY'S FULL NAMES.
A-There is no reference to their full names. We only know them by their last names.
Q-DOES THE CARNOTAUR HAVE THE CHAMELEON ABILITY, AS IN THE TLW BOOK?
A-There is no reference to it in the script. That is not to say we won't see it happening visually.
Q-HOW DO THEY END UP LANDING ON ISLA SORNA IF GRANT WON'T LET THEM?
A-Cooper knocks Grant out when he tries to stop them from landing.
Q-IS THE PLANE DAMAGED BY THE SPINO FIN?
A-Yes, the planes propeller clips the the flank of the Spino. Spino blood splatters all over the windshield of the plane.
Q-PTERADONS EAT FISH. WHY DO THEY ATTACK BILLY.
A-After being on the island so long without a shower, Billy probably smells like fish.
Q-WILL WE FINALLY SEE A HERBIVORE KILL A HUMAN IN JP3?
A-No.
Q-WHICH DINOSAUR PLAYS THE LARGEST ROLE IN THE MOVIE?
A-While Spino is obviously the new center of attraction, the Pteradons and Raptors play very important parts in the film.
Q-WHAT KINDS OF THINGS LEAVE THE 'DOOR WIDE OPEN' FOR A JP4?
A-The final scene of the film will let your imaginations go wild with what could happen beyond that. Obviously, I won't tell you what happens in the final scene.
Q-YOU SAID YOU WOULDN'T POST THE ENDING, YET YOU HAVE PICTURES FROM IT AT YOUR SITE (THE RESCUE ATTEMPT). I ASSUME THE MOVIE DOES NOT END THERE.
A-True. The film does not end with the rescue attempt.
Q-WHAT IS A 'PLATE' SHOT?
A-A 'plate' shot is a shot taken of a particular location in which they will later insert CGI.
Q-DOES ELLIE SATTLER HAVE A MORE IMPORTANT ROLE THAN JOHN HAMMOND DID IN TLW?
A-Yes, we see more of Ellie than we did of John. Shades of JP1.
Q-IS JOHN HAMMOND OR IAN MALCOLM TALKED ABOUT IN JP3?
A-Yes, and not really in a very flattering way.
Q-WOULD YOU SELL A COPY OF THE SCRIPT?
A-Yes, for $20,000. I figure that would cover my bail. (Just kidding. Sorry, can't do it)
Q- IS 'THE VALLEY OF PEACEFUL DINOSAURS' THE SHOT OF THEM RUNNING ALONG SIDE THE DINOSAURS IN THE TRAILER, OR IS THAT A DIFFERENT SCENE?
A-That is a totally different scene. One is in the early part of the film, the other toward the later part.
Q-DO ANY OF THE DINOSAURS MAKE IT TO THE MAINLAND IN THE FILM?
A-No. I think they pretty well used that one up in TLW.
Q-WHO IS THE GUY IN THE SUIT NEAR THE END OF THE FILM, IN THE RESCUE SCENE?
A-That is actually one of two surprise characters we will see in the end.
Q-HAS GRANT'S CHARACTER CHANGED VERY MUCH SINCE JP?
A-Grant is still Grant, but has had his fill of being stuck on an island full of out of control dinosaurs. He is totally tricked into going.
Q-IN THE TRAILER GRANT LOOKS OUT THE PLANE WINDOW WHILE IT'S IN THE AIR AND SAYS 'OH MY GOD, I'D FORGOTTEN'. WHAT'S HE MEAN?
A-Interesting thing about that line. It was not in the script. He says it as they approach the island for the first time. I assume he is just remembering what it was like before to see them.
Q-IS JOHN HAMMOND DEAD OR ALIVE?
A-While he is mentioned in the film, there is no reference to him being dead or alive.
Q-WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTER?
A-I bonded with Billy. I really like his sense of humor and adventure. As a student, he is full of curiosity. He's always getting himself into trouble. He is also a hero. Billy is not an ex-con as the rumors had it.
Q-HOW MANY SCENES DOES ELLIE SATTLER HAVE IN THE FILM?
A-A lot more than I thought she would when I first read she just had a cameo. She is much more than a cameo player.
Q-ARE THERE ANY COMPYS IN THE MOVIE?
A-Yes, but they don't have any meaningful interaction with anyone.
Q-WHO WINS THE FIGHT BETWEEN T-REX AND SPINO?
A-Well, I'm not giving anything away that everybody doesn't already know as reported in every interview on the Internet. After a monumental battle, Spino latches onto T-Rex's throat and crushes the life out of it. It then gives a victorious howl.
Q-IS THERE A TRICERATOPS IN THE MOVIE?
A-No, not unless it's just a passing shot of a herd.
Q-WHAT IS THE RAPTOR'S MOTIVATION?
A-Self preservation and protection of their species.
