"Hawaii Movie Tours is a box office smash!"-Honolulu Star Bulletin-July, 2001

Our 4x4 fleet is equipped with surround sound and video monitors, all delivered digitally.

On September 1, 2004, we changed our 4x4 Tour. Below are the customer comments from our onboard comment log from that first tour.

"This was an awesome tour. Wish we would have done it at the beginning of our trip! Thank you!"-Brent & Kristin, Cheyenne, WY

"Great tour! We saw a lot more than we expected. Beautiful sights. We appreciated all the information about the local culture."-Keith & Jessica, Austin, TX

"Exactly what we'd hoped for our 1st day on the island. A lot of spots we'd never find ourselves and a good overview of the island."-Jeff, El Cajon, CA

THE TOUR

As we leave our office, your  professional and charismatic guide will fire up the on board TV and surround system to show you the titles of the myriad of film and television productions filmed on Kauai. As we head to our first stop, we pass the airport. Time for a little humor as we show you several scenes filmed at the airport and a montage of 'not so great' piloting appearing in Kauai made features. We will also pass general aviation. It's at this point we can determine whose private jets are sitting there. Is it John Travolta's private Boeing 707? Jim Carrey's Gulfstream V? Harrison Ford's Gulfstream IV? We never know who is on Kauai.

Our first stop is the historic Ahukini Landing and pier, Kauai's first harbor and docking port.

On the left, the rock jetty and lights which used to guide the ships in (in the far distance on the right, do u see the profile of Kong? Another famous movie landmark). On the right, what is left of the pier. From here we will also see the beautiful Hanamaulu Bay. Films made here include Donovan's Reef, Pagan Love Song, To End All Wars, Voodoo Island, Six Days, Seven Nights and more. Watch scenes from some of these features while here. Get out, take pictures!

and next..............

It's time to head into the hills, thru cane fields that are no more, to find the famous Wailua Falls. Used in the beginning of every Fantasy Island episode (da plane, da plane!), we travel several miles to reach the stunning vista overlooking this famous falls. In addition to Fantasy Island, it was seen in Kevin Costner's Dragonfly, James Garners Castaway Cowboy, a national Coke commercial and was one of the last stops during CBS's third season of The Amazing Race. We will show you the crazies who plunged 200 feet down a zip line to the pool below.

We will pass this serene Kauai cemetery hidden in the lush vegetation. What a beautiful place to spend eternity. On the right, a beautiful view of Mt. Waialeale, the wettest spot on Earth, from a gated off cane road.

This is the falls. Ask us how to hike to the bottom and spend a day swimming in the refreshing water below. This falls is a super photo opportunity.
