9/27 In the next two or three pages you're finally going to see photos from the filming on the Wailua River. Below is fairly interesting information about what went on that day, who was there, who is playing what, etc. The cast includes: Sam Neill-Alan Grant: William H. Macy-Paul Kirby: Tea Leoni-Amanda Kirby: Trevor Morgan-Eric Kirby: Alessandro Nivola-Billy Brennan: Michael Jeter-Udesky: Mark Harelik-Ben: Julio Mechoso-Enrique: Bob Brown-Grant stunt dbl: Stanton Barrett-Paul stunt dbl: Cinda James-Amanda stunt dbl: Lee Whitaker-Eric stunt dbl: Carl Paoli-Billy stunt dbl: Ted Boyse-Ben stunt dbl. The stunt coordinator is Pat Romano Called for this scene were Sam Neill, William H. Macy, Tea Leoni and Trevor Morgan and their stunt doubles and also their stand-ins. To give you an idea of the size of this shoot and the number of production people working on just these river scenes, 137 lunches were ordered. There were no extras in the scene, so that is all production and cast. Go Here if you want to see a complete list of the vehicles on location. Make-up call was at 6:30 am, set call at 8:00 am. Props included 1 large pole and supplies: Stunts included actors swimming: Special Effects included smoke: Make up for the hair was 'wet work'. |

You can see they have done some work on the boat since we got the first photos of it. They have enlarged the cage and added effects to make it look even dumpier. This was taken just before they put it in the water to begin filming. | |

Leaving the Marina with the boat. Notice they are not driving it. They used three boats to tow it up the river and guide it.
Building a dock. The picture boat ( barge as they now call it) is supposed to dock here. Will they make it alive???? If you remember the photo on the first page ( jp1.htm ) with the cliff and the rope, this is that spot. |
Reaching the entrance to the marina, they now must guide it up the river against the current. Very lucky it has not rained for awhile because the river can really get hairy.
