This boat is going to surprise you. Looks old doesn't it? It is actually brand new but constructed in California from scratch to look old at a cost of $200,000. I'll show you a close-up of the apparatus on the deck later. The boat can be operated entirely by remote control so the actors don't have to drive it. It has special pumps and holding tanks that can be filled or emptied automatically to make the boat appear to be sinking or listing in either direction. When I show you what's on the deck, you'll see why they want it to do that.
This is where the actor playing the captain will stand even though he doesn't have to actually drive the boat.
