This is just one of the many stunning Banyan trees on the ranch. Their roots grow down to the ground from above.
We guarantee nowhere else will you be surrounded by wild boar who come down from the mountains to be fed. We will carry food for them so you and your family can thrill to feeding them yourself.

KIPU RANCH A spectacular 2,500 acre ranch on Kaua'i's southeast shore, the Kipu Ranch has been used in a virtual parade of Hollywood hits. Beginning in 1962 with Diamond Head, starring Charlton Heston, the ranch has again and again seen Hollywood film trucks roll up the stunning Norfolk Pine Grand Entrance. Heston returned in 1970 to film The Hawaiians, the third quarter of James Michener's epic, Hawaii. In 1981, Steven Spielberg arrived to film the first of two hits he would film on the ranch, Raiders of the Lost Ark. He returned again in 1997 to make The Lost World, the successful sequel to Jurassic Park. Other films which called the Kipu Ranch home include Outbreak and Mighty Joe Young(1997). We call our new 4x4 tour vans 'the beasts' because nothing stands in their way. Outfitted with surround sound and video monitor, you will watch some of the most famous scenes ever filmed while at the location where they were filmed.
"Hey buddy, where's the food?" Is this called 'asking for a hand out?' Arh arh! As tame as they may appear, these are WILD animals who live in the mountains.

Nene Geese, the Hawaii state bird, an endangered species. We see them almost daily on the tour of the ranch.
Movie locations we will see on the ranch include Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Outbreak, Mighty Joe Young, The Lost World, The Hawaiians, Islands In The Stream, Diamond Head and a new one to be filmed in January, 2001 called Dragonfly starring a major star who they won't let us name yet!
