Guy McKiniry

Lead 4x4 Guide

We don't know how we manage to do it, but we just keep getting the nicest people in the world to work for us. Guy is one of them. Both a bus and 4x4 Tour driver and guide, Guy originally moved to Kauai from New Hampshire. If he isn't on the tour, we know we can find him at the Wailua Golf Course. Guy is our Hole In One!

Leilani Carvalho

Born and raised on Kauai, Leilani is an accounting student at Kauai Community College and works afternoons in our busy office. She has also been fortunate enough to travel all over the world and has many tales to tell. She just returned from Italy, Greece, Prague and Alaska.

UPDATE:  On May 12,2006, Leilani received her Associates Degree in Accounting from Kauai Community College. Congratulations Leilani!!! Now help us keep our books straight!

Makana Carvalho

Ok, scroll back up and look at Leilani's picture. Now look at Makana. See a similarity there? Yup, brother and sister. We are happy to have Makana join us as a narrator on our hilarious Land Tours. Born and raised on Kauai, he recently returned from the bay area after attending Diablo Valley College. This is definately a guy with flair and you are going to have a ball on his tour!

Russell Rosa

Born and raised on Kauai, Russell has never felt the need to live anywhere else. Why should he when he lives on the most beautiful island on Earth? A graduate of Kauai High, Russell is an avid tournament fisherman. In addition to camping, he also enjoys crabbing for giant Samoan crabs in the Wailua River and Menehune Fish Pond. We stole him from Hertz and he now has a ball wheeling our buses around the island.

Ben Nihi

Born on Oahu, Ben moved to Kauai in 1973 and has called it home since. You can tell by his huge grin that Ben is one happy guy. A retired systems engineer for the Pacific Missle Range Facility on Kauai, Ben now drives our buses. He also is the in house pastor for Kauai Community Correctional Facility and spends more of his valuable time working with the homeless.

Tina Wartman-Operations Manager

Teeny Tina we call her. Why? Because she's so teeny! Beginning as an ace narrator with our company, Tina is now our Operations Manager and  runs the day to day operations of our busy company. If you have groups to book, ask for Tina. She has lived over eight years on Kauai after having spent a lifetime in Long Beach, CA and New York State. Tina just celebrated her six year anniversary with Movie Tours®.  What I want to know is, how can she constantly smile like she does without getting cramps in her face? She NEVER stops smiling!!!

Raimie Mardonada

Senior Bus Driver

Born on Oahu, Raimie has made Kauai her home for over 30 years. Just the kind of person we need to give you an education on living a lifetime on this beautiful island. A graduate of Kapaa High School, Raimie has worked for years in the touring industry. Previously a professional motor coach driver for the 'other' guys, she finds our cute 'Theaters-On-Wheels™' a breeze to zip safely around the island in. Now in her sixth year driving our tours.

Wendy Rausch

Every company should have their botanist and we have ours. A full time staff member of the National Tropical Botanical Gardens, we find ourselves very lucky to have Wendy aboard a few days a week to teach us everything we need to know about Kauai's stunning flora. If you find yourself on one of her tours, you are very lucky. She also developed the 'flora' info for our 4X4 Tour. Just look for 'the hat'! Wendy just celebrated her sixth year with Movie Tours®.

Jeff 'Bam Bam' Voorhies

Lead Coastal Tour Guide

Bigger than any vehicle we own, Bam Bam could be the only bouncer we need. Since we don't need a bouncer, this guy does it all for us. Bam Bam can drive and/or narrate either the Coastal or 4x4 Tour.  A Kauai resident since 1977 (and California native), he comes to us from being a stuntman in the film industry and a crazier than a hoot owl snow skier (anyone following him over the moguls would hear, bam, bam, bam, bam; thus, the nickname). Our own Gentle Giant, he is in his third year with us. In May, 2006, Bam Bam became our Senior Coastal Tour Guide, responsible for training our other talented guides.

David 'Crockett' Kahaunaele

He he. We stole another one from the other guys. A professional coach driver for 'somebody' else and past sushi chef, we begged and begged and finally convinced this Kauai born and bred driver supreme that we were the people to work for. We are the lucky ones. People love his insider knowledge and great personality. If you're lucky, he may give you the inside scoop on making sushi!

Rita Manderfeld

A native of Evanston, WY, Rita comes to us with a bundle of energy and sparkling personality. Helping to operate our busy office on weekends, Rita is also trained as a narrator extraordinaire for our zany bus tours. When you stop by, say hi to Rita and get a load of that huge smile!

Melanie Salazar

Bainbridge Island, WA's loss is our gain as we welcome Melanie to our staff. Bubbling with personality, Melanie is also an artist (portraits are her specialty) and now entertains bus loads of happy visitors to Kauai. At one time, Melanie was a sandwich artist at Subway. The problem is, she kept wanting to draw faces on the sandwiches. When they said NO, she left.

Harry Best

Having spent most of his life in Hawaii, Harry brings a boat load of knowledge to our tours, specializing in our 4x4 Offroad Tour. Harry also spends time working behind the scenes for ESPN, Turner Sports, etc. If you need to know some tech info about how all this ends up on the big or small screen, ask Harry. With a built in motor that never stops, we dare you to keep up with his energy.

Alisha Abalos

Joining our team as a tour narrator, this fun Kauai born and raised resident graduated from Kapaa High, going on to study computers. A sports buff, she plays soccer, volleyball, softball and also paddles canoes. She is also an avid horsewoman, having been a guide at a local stable. One of the biggest things she enjoys about her job is meeting the wide variety of people who visit Kauai from all over the world. You will also enjoy meeting her!

Harry Ford

This guy looked familiar when he applied for a job, but we just couldn't put our finger on it. Harry is our jack of all trades, helping with cleaning the buses, washing windows and basically, anything nobody else is willing to do. He'd love to be a narrator, but we just don't think he has what it takes. Maybe with a little training down the road. Just work hard Harry and someday you may make it.
