| Kauai Tours: When
you want more than just a sunny beach
Thursday, January 24, 2002 |
Hawaii Movie Tours offers a full-day, off-road adventure to see places that Hollywood found, deep in the rain forests and on a special beach. Participants travel in four-by-four vehicles outfitted to seat 15, with surround sound and video gear to enhance the exploration.
The two-part tour first travels through Keahua Arboretum, deep into the Wailua Forest, into places used for "Jurassic Park," "Flight of the Intruder" and the upcoming "Dragonfly."
The second part takes you to a beautiful beach for lunch at the location for many films, including "Blue Hawaii," "Fantasy Island" and "Pagan Love Song."
Following lunch, you visit the Kipu Ranch, a working cattle ranch with 2,500 acres of meadows, waterfalls and mountains. The ranch was used for films such as "Raiders of the Lost Ark," "The Lost World," "Outbreak" and "Mighty Joe Young."
